Kristyn Brown, DVM
Dr. Brown comes from a family of doctors: her father, her twin sister, and, one day, her son. After graduating from high school in Lewiston, Idaho, she went on to graduate from Pacific Lutheran University and then Washington State University where she received her DVM in 1994.
Dr. Brown worked as a small animal and equine veterinarian prior to joining our team in 1999, eventually becoming Medical Director at Hollywood Hill Animal Hospital in 2018. Her passion lies in the individual attention she can give each patient and client during their appointment and in piecing together information to arrive at a diagnosis. Outside of work, Dr. Brown loves being a mother to her three human children, attending their sporting events, camping, playing with her three cats, and participating in amateur Arabian Western Pleasure shows with her horse, Mark.
Keegan Boyd, MRCVS
Dr. Boyd was fascinated by science and animals from a young age and grew up around a veritable menagerie.
Growing up in a small town in Montana, he studied Animal Science at Montana State University. After graduating he spent a couple of years working with lions, tigers, and bears as a Zookeeper and an Animal Trainer. Eventually it was clear that veterinary medicine is where he wanted to be, so he left the big cats to attend the Royal Veterinary College in London, England. After becoming a veterinarian in 2015, Dr. Boyd returned to the Northwest. After working in Seattle for a few years, he joined Hollywood Hill Animal Hospital in early 2018. Dr. Boyd enjoys all aspects of General Practice but has an affinity for Dermatology and Behavioral Medicine. In his free time, he loves traveling, woodworking, and cooking. Dr. Boyd proudly shares his home and paycheck with a cat named Hank.

Angie, Practice Manager
A different day, a different hat – human resources, facilities repair, budgeting, marketing, project management, and you-name-it! Working together with our Owner, Dr. Matson, Angie makes sure we have our bases covered. Angie has had a wide variety of professional experience – she worked as a veterinary assistant, wildlife rehabilitator, teacher, researcher, and entrepreneur before joining us in 2010. Angie obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Cognitive and Social Psychology from the International University Bremen in Germany and attends professional seminars on a regular basis. In her spare time, she enjoys playing vintage board games and being mom to her senior kitties.
Carlie, Veterinary Assistant / Front Desk
With her excellent customer service skills, you will often find Carlie greeting you as you walk in the door or answering your phone call. Since 2013, Carlie has been a fantastic “cat wrangler”, treatment assistant, and her favorite, care coordinator – making sure all the details of your visit go smoothly. In addition to her full time job here, Carlie is working towards her Bachelor’s degree at Cascadia. Secretly a good singer, Carlie enjoys reading books about WWII, going hiking, and exploring the many wineries and breweries in our area.
Carrie, Kennel Assistant / Veterinary Assistant
After working for more than 30 years as a file maintenance clerk with Safeway, Carrie joined us in 2006 to do what she always wanted – work with animals. As our Queen of Efficiency, Carrie can manage the work of many by herself without missing a beat. Her favorite part of her job with us is taking patient histories and providing education for our clients. Married for more than 35 years, Carrie is mom to her two adult sons, two dogs – Frankie and Tucker, and 16 (!!) rabbits. One of her many hobbies is showing her Holland Lops at fairs and exhibitions around the country.
Chloe, Veterinary Assistant
Chloe has had a passion for animals all her life, so it was a natural step for her to pursue a career in the field. Chloe joined us in 2014 as a kennel assistant and was soon working as vet assistant. Chloe is now enrolled in a program to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician and learning a lot along the way. Outside of the clinic, Chloe tends to her plants and has recently taken up quilting. Chloe lives in Woodinville with her family and her goofy cats, Max and Evangeline.

Kelsey, Office Manager
No matter the day, Kelsey brings a smile and a friendly atmosphere to our clinic. A lifelong dog-lover, Kelsey first joined us in 2009 as a kennel assistant, where she excelled and quickly discovered she wanted more. For many years Kelsey was an integral part of our Front Office team, working directly with clients and patients and takes great pride in making our patients’ visits as easy and enjoyable as possible. As we have grown, Kelsey has taken on the role as our Office Manager. In her new position, she builds on her client and patient-oriented work in supervising other staff, providing administrative support, and just about anything the clinic or our clients and patients need. She is a Woodinville High School graduate and holds an AA degree in Arts & Sciences. Outside of work, Kelsey enjoys everything outdoors – rain or shine – where you will often see her walking her dogs, Touge and Haze, who are adorably-obsessed with each other.
Sarah C, Veterinary Assistant
Sarah has been a fabulous addition to our team. After spending many years as a pet rehabilitation therapist (think physical therapy for dogs and cats!), she decided to return to general practice in 2015. Originally from the Midwest, she has taken every opportunity to explore Washington’s beautiful forests since moving to the Pacific Northwest. Sarah has a deep passion for animals, which is clearly evident when you meet her. Whether it be assisting in surgery or checking your pet in for an appointment, she is always thinking with the pet’s comfort in mind.
