Missed Appointment Policy

Our goal is to provide quality, compassionate care for your companion. No-shows, late arrivals, and cancellations inconvenience those individuals who need access to veterinary care. We would like to inform you of our updated policy regarding missed appointments.

A missed appointment is when you fail to show up for an appointment without a phone call, or cancel without at least 24-hour notice.

A veterinary / client relationship is built on mutual trust and respect. As such, we strive to be on time for your scheduled appointments, and ask that you give us the courtesy of a call when you are unable to keep your appointment.  As a courtesy, we provide reminder calls the day before your appointment.  Below, our missed appointment policies are outlined.

Cancellation of an appointment
In order to be respectful of the medical needs of other patients, please be courteous and call our office promptly if you are unable to make your scheduled appointment time.  This time will be reallocated to someone who is need of treatment.

How to cancel your appointment
To cancel your appointment, please call 425-486-8387 (Hollywood Hill Animal Hospital) or 425-820-7000 (Hollywood Hill Animal Hospital – East).

Late Arrivals

If you arrive beyond 10 minutes late to any appointment this will result in a late arrival fee of $30.

 Late Cancellations
A cancellation is late when the appointment is cancelled without a 24-hour advance notice. Late cancellations will result in a cancellation fee of $40. This may be used as a deposit toward your next appointment if you chose to reschedule.

No Show Policy
Our “no-show” policy applies when a client misses an appointment without cancelling it or fails to give more than 24-hour notice. Failure to be present at the time of a scheduled appointment is documented. A no show will also result in a $40 missed appointment fee.

If a client shows a pattern of missed appointments, they will be required to Pre-Pay for their next exam. This includes only the exam fee. The deposit will only be forfeited if the appointment is missed or not cancelled with at least 24 hours’ notice prior to the appointment. It will otherwise be credited towards that day’s visit.
